Any good food buys at M&S

I have got £25 voucher + £12.50 gift card for m&s and as money is tight and I have got my sister, boyfriend and nephew coming this weekend I am going to spend it on food and probably a bottle or 2 of wine..

Anyway have never food shopped in there (apart from the odd sarnie) can anyone tell me anything that they would recommend as either really scrummie or a good cheap buy (if that exists)

Am going later with the twins so need a good idea of what I will get, as can't afford to mouch about (twins get bored v easily!!)

Have recently discovered M&S "chunky" fish fingers and they are absolutely gorgeous. Well recommended to anyone who enjoys a fish finger sandwich or two. :o

The Times every day this last week (70p today I think) has a coupon for 50% off a purchase of 2 PubBistro range items between Thu and Sat this week (from memory).

Mind you when I visited M&S this evening the shelves were VERY bare, only about 20% of the range had anything there. Got 2 Moussaka's list £2.99 and 2 CauliflowerCheese/Bacon list £1.99 with two coupons - ie after discount reasonable price!

If you buy a Times today there's a voucher for BOGOF on the M&S Gastropub range. The Times have been running this promotion since Saturday.

Anybody know if the coupon's in the Times tomorrow (Sat), or has it finished? Thanks.

I highly recommend their tubs of Flapjacks although be prepared to eat the whole tub pretty quickly as they are so moorish. I don't even have a sweet tooth usually

What a result! Thanks for your post. Bought the Times - usually get a sat paper, so didn't cost us anything as got it instead of the usual. Took the voucher in. M & S had run out of gastropub meals, so gave me a £5 gift voucher to spend on anything, anytime in the next 2 years. Well pleased! :j
