E:31/01 Pair of tickets to opening day of The London Bridge Experience

London’s newest attraction opens its doors for business on February 22nd 2008, and you could be one of the first visitors to experience it.

We have a pair of tickets to give away for the opening day of The London Bridge Experience, which combines state-of-the-art visual effects with live action to trace the 2000 year history of the world’s most famous bridge.

Housed in the excavated vaults and tombs of the bridge itself, The London Bridge Experience will offer two distinct attractions under one roof.

Visitors will first be taken on a guided tour of London Bridge’s history using a stunning combination of special effects, CGI, real characters and animation. There will be some unexpected shocks, thrills and drama along the way.

Braver visitors can then go deeper into the bowels of the bridge and test their nerve in the London Tombs, where human remains and historic artefacts have been discovered. This grisly tour offers Hollywood-style special effects designed by Halloween Productions Inc, one of the USA’s biggest creators of scary attractions.

London Bridge dates back to Roman Times, and has a fascinating, and often bloody history. The site may have been used as a pit for plague victims and could be an old burial ground for Southwark Cathedral. The heads of notable ‘traitors’ Wat Tyler, Guy Fawkes and ‘Braveheart’ William Wallace were impaled and displayed on the old bridge.

It has also been knocked down and re-built several times – the last in 1973 when the Sir John Rennie bridge, which had stood since 1831, was sold to an American oil baron, dismantled and shipped to be displayed in Lake Havasu, Arizona where it remains a popular touristattraction.

Both the Experience and the Tombs are included under the same ticket price - £19.95 for adults, £14.95 for children with concessions available.

Advance tickets are now on sale for The London Bridge Experience (by clicking here) - but this is your chance to see this stunning new attraction for FREE.

To enter the competition, just answer this simple question:

In which American state is the Sir John Rennie bridge now displayed?
