In 1975, Director Nicolas Philibert (Etre et Avoir) was a young assistant to film-maker Rene Allio.
Together, they made Moi, Pierre Riviere, ayant egorge ma mère, ma soeur et mon frere (I, Pierre Rivière, having cut the throat of my mother, my sister and my brother) a little-seen film based on the disturbing true story of a peasant who murdered his family in 1835.
All the main parts in I, Pierre Riviere were played by non-professional actors from Normandy. Here, thirty years after the film's release, Philibert takes his camera back to the region to learn about the lives of it's stars during the intervening years. Weaving through time- between 1975, the present time, and the nineteenth century- Philibert creates yet another captivating documentary.
For a chance to win one of three copies of Etre et Avoir on DVD, answer the following question:
The movie Back to Normandy is the follow up of which of these documentaries?
a. La Moindre des choses
b. Etre et avoir
c. I, Pierre Riviere, having cut the throat of my mother, my sister and my brother
Closing Date: Thursday 21 February 2008, Noon

What's it all about?
Back to Normandy is director Nicolas Philibert's follow-up to 2002's critically acclaimed documentary Etre et Avoir. In 1975, Philibert was a young assistant director on Rene Allio's film I, Pierre Riviere, Having Slaughtered My Mother, My Sister and My Brother…, which told the true story of an 1835 murder, using a cast made up of mostly non-professional actors from the same region in which the crime took place 150 years earlier.

Hi all,
Sorry for the confusion, guess i misread the question.
I, Pierre Riviere is the film which Back To Normandy 'follows up' by revisiting the location, cast, etc, hence my mistake. But think you're quite right in stating the answer to the question as Etre Et Avoir, as that's a documentary.0
