<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="90%"> <tbody><tr valign="top"> <td align="left"> Win two places on a once-in-a-lifetime journey overland from St Petersburg to Beijing with Dragoman Overland!

If you’re the lucky winner, you’ll get two free places on this amazing journey, worth £6,500! Spend 11 weeks travelling through Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China. Departing from St Petersburg on April 20, you’ll arrive in Beijing on July 6, 2008, just before the start of the Beijing Olympic Games.

This is the second year that Dragoman Overland is running this awesome adventure. We aren’t saying it’ll be an easy ride, but it will probably be the greatest journey you have ever taken. Take the rough with the smooth as you explore areas like the Altai Shan Mountains in Kazakhstan, Siberia and the huge Gobi Desert in Mongolia.

You’ll stay with Kazakhs, Mongols, reindeer herders and traditional hunters. A Yurt homestay is a great way to experience the lifestyles of the semi-nomadic and nomadic peoples whose land we’ll travel through. For those unsure of what a yurt is, it’s a traditional Central Asian circular tent built on a wooden frame. Across the region it's name will change from yurt, yurta, gert and finally to the Mongolian Ger, but what's in a name?

The real joy is meeting the people and on this style of adventure tour this community involvement is vital. This is an exploratory journey with a flexible itinerary, which will vary. Flights are not included in the prize.

Week by week itinerary
One: St Petersburg, Novgorod and Moscow.
Two: Majestic Vladimar, the fairytale town of Suzdal and Russia’s third capital Nizhmy Novgorod.
Three: Overland across the Russian and Kazakh Steppe.
Four: Journey along the old shoreline of the Aral Sea to Southern Kazakhstan.
Five: The ruined city of Sauren and Sksu-Dzhabagly National Park.
Six: The Tian Shan and Altai Shan Mountains.
Seven: Trek through the Siberian Altai Mountains.
Eight: Lake hop through northern Mongolia.
Nine: Mongolia’s wild lands and the Mongul capital of Harhorin.
Ten: Homestay in the Gobi Desert.
Eleven: Reach Beijing via the Great Wall and the Eastern Qing Tombs.

Would love to do something like this but there is no way I'd get the time off either. :(

Note the prize does not include "Kitty" which is $1500 each as far as I could tell.
Life is all about the journey.

What a prize, this would be a dream come true. My only worry if I won would be Doggy, hes never been in kennels, but then, I've never done anything like this in my life and i'm 58 so I've entered hoping.

    Great Post , Thanks
