    Lyle's Golden Syrup Competition
    1. This competition is open to all UK residents, aged 16 or over, with the exception of employees of TATE & LYLE UK Ltd, their immediate families, agents or anyone else associated with the administration of this competition
    2. No purchase necessary to enter.
    3. Closing date for entries is midnight 31st March 2008
    4. Entry is limited to one per person.
    5. Five winners will be selected at random.
    6. The prize is 12 454g anniversary gold tins of LYLE’S Golden Syrup and one TEFAL® non stick frying pan
    7. There is no cash equivalent to the prize.
    8. The winners will be notified by email by 4th April 2008
    9. The winners’ names and counties can be obtained by sending a stamped SAE to “LGS Competiton”, Munro & Forster, 89 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TP by 8th April 2008.

    100% true but pointless post....:o

    When i was little my mum used to give me the leftover Yorkshire puds every Sunday, for afters, topped with lyles golden syrup....well it is the same mix that makes the batter for pancakes/yorkies......very mse hey...she freezes them nowadays...it was actually nice.....rather tasty....especially if she kept the spares warm for me....hmmm hungry now :o

    To add to the above, yorkshire puds with really nice gravy, main meal, then yorkies and treacle to finish. Or you'll probably think this is gross, a bit of treacle on stew and dumplings ~ don't knock it until you've tried it

    MMmmmm we use it at school for flapjacks and cereal bars so I could easily dispose of 12 cans in a term no problem!

    At work they occasionally serve a really yummy hot chocolate flapjack with chocolate sauce and custard. I asked them for the recipe, and it includes golden syrup, so a year's supply would mean LOADS of chocolate flapjacks.... YUM!!
