Free Insulation

I have checked but cannot find anything on this Freebie area, and although it is probably posted on the Benefits and Silver Savers area, I thought it worthwhile posting here, to make sure as many msers as possible know this.

Saturdays Express there was 2 seperate advertisements ( one full page, one half page) about Free Loft and Cavity Wall insulation for the over 70's.
They do not have to be claiming any benefits, or show any financial details. They are entitled to it simply be being over 70 - so very good for those proud ones we love who don't like to ask for handouts

For the under 70's ( just !!) if you are receipt of various benefits you too could be eligible.( WTC, Child Tax Credit, DLA, Disablement Pension, Attendance allowance. Council Tax benefit, Income support, Job-seekers allowance, State Pension credit, War Disablement Pension)
I have checked out the B.Gas website, but cannot find anything. So if you think there may be even a possiblity of you being eligible, please do phone and ask.

There is a phone number 0845 605 2535 - quote "EXP".....

But I used the freephone number (;) )0800 435 525 and got thru fine. I spoke to a very nice lady and I have the surveyor booked to come and check me out.

Please please please if you know anyone over 70 who you think could benefit from this, please let them know. With fuel prices rising, any little bit of FREE help shouldn't be ignored.

P.S Although the advert and phone number take you thru to British Gas, you do not have to be one of their customers - I'm not !!

P.P.S Not sorry at all if this has been already posted - 'cos I think it is SO important that as many people know and benefit from this as possible.

If you don't ask, you won't get.
