We have three pairs of tickets up for grabs to see Kevin Spacey, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Michelle Kelly tread the boards in a major revival to mark the 20th anniversary of David Mamet's (Glengarry Glen Ross, Oleanna) compelling play, Speed-the-Plow. Mamet's witty, caustic play with his trademark rapid-fire dialogue satirises the deal-making that goes on behind-the-scenes in the movie business.
Hollywood producers Bobby Gould (Jeff Goldblum) and Charlie Fox (Kevin Spacey) engage in a verbal boxing match centred around the ever present debate of art versus money. Should Gould father another inept blockbuster that will make his fortune or put his kudos on the line for an adaptation of a spiritual, apocalyptic novel offered to him by his beautiful secretary, Karen (Laura Michelle Kelly)?
In this tale of greed, seduction and power, everything he believes in will be put to the test.
