To mark the launch of the newest game in the Flight Simulator series, Flight Simulator X: Acceleration expansion pack, Personal Computer World has teamed up with Microsoft to offer prizes worth £1,000.
Our first prize this month is an Alienware Aurora 7500 gaming PC, plus a copy of Flight Simulator X: Acceleration expansion pack, as well as the original Flight Simulator X. Five runners up will also win a copy of Flight Simulator X and the Acceleration expansion pack.
Flight Simulator X: Acceleration is the action-packed expansion for Microsoft’s amazingly successful and award-winning Flight Simulator X video game.
A new multiplayer racing mode lets you compete against friends with four types of racing including real-world and fictional Red Bull Air Race courses, the unlimited Reno National Championship course, as well as cross country and competition sailplane courses. There are even fictional courses like the Hoop and Jet Canyon.
Gamers will be able to test their skills in three different levels of difficulty from simple pylon racing to very challenging courses in a variety of weather conditions.
Flight Simulator X: Acceleration builds on the rich visual foundation of Flight Simulator X by taking advantage of Windows Vista and DirectX 10 to deliver breathtaking graphics.
You’ll get dynamic environments as you fly through highly-detailed locations around the world, especially when you play on the Alienware Aurora 7500 PC, which comes with an AMD Athlon multi-core processor, Nvidia next generation graphics, low latency DDR2 memory, a monitor and Windows Vista Home Premium.
Flight Simulator X: Acceleration brings more than 20 new missions that will allow gamers to test their skills at tasks ranging from a fighter jet test pilot to search and rescue. You also get new aircraft, including the F/A-18A Hornet, P-51D Mustang and EH-101 helicopter.
