Ellen Kent & Opera International return to the Liverpool Empire Theatre with Puccini's Madama Butterfly and Verdi's La Traviata, performed by the Ukrainian National Opera of Odessa with international Korean and Japanese soloists, and a highly praised chorus plus live orchestra. And you could see either of these magnificent productions absolutely FREE:
1st Prize: Madama Butterfly tells the heart-breaking story of a beautiful Japanese girl who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant - resulting in heart wrenching drama!
Prize includes one pair of tickets for February 15th, a bottle of Russian Methode Champagne, A Geisha keyring, An opera poster, a glossy, souvenir programme.
2nd Prize: Based on a true story, La Traviata is about the life and loves of the passionate courtesan, Violetta, which has echoes of Verdi's own life.
Prize includes one pair of tickets for February 14th, plus a glossy souvenir programme.
To enter answer the question below and send to patricia.caliskan@liverpool.com, with either 'Madama Butterfly' or 'La Traviata' in the subject line.
Q: Which Liverpool theatre will be playing host to both of the operas?
Closing date is Friday, January 25. Usual Trinity Mirror rules apply.
Answer: Empire Theatre
There is another ballet comp but seems to have the wrong details on there, so haven't posted it.
