I personally prefer the seperate posts as otherwise things go unseen as people chat about certain items etc. A seperate board would be great though!

Totally agree with Katinkka, the seperate threads are much easier to see. Otherwise, all we'll end up with is one massive thread which will put people off reading.0 -
From what I've seen, the Boots bargains seem to be fairly similar to the argos ones - but instead of having a bit of a frenzy twice a year, it seems that they have them at fairly regular intervals - I reckon it might be worth having a trial sub-board. There are enough threads to warrant it, and I think one thread with all the deals on would just be too difficult to wade through.0

The Boots bargains seem to be anything from digital cameras to make-up to kids' clothes - too wide a range of items for a separate thread.
For example, I'm looking for a digital camera at the moment, but won't be trawling through pages and pages of Boots items on the off-chance that a camera will pop up! If I saw a separate thread with a digital camera on offer though, I'd know immediately that it would be of interest.
IMO a separate Boots thread makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever!
If I wanted to know what bargains were specifically available in Boots, I'd look online or go to Boots.
Please keep the threads specific to the items on sale so that we immediately know whether or not we're interested!0 -

I suppose paint has a point as well - I often just have a quick browse through the grabbit section to see if there is anything to "grab" my attention - having a seperate sub-board means that you have to specifically go search through that board as well - although I have to say that generally, when someone adds something new to a board since my last visit, it does highlight it.Clairog wrote:Well said Stumpy - how are you? I'm missing Argos but at least I've had Boots to keep me going

I have to say, not as geared up with this last argos thing as the last one - not quite sure why? Perhaps the thrill of the chase before?! Or perhaps its just that I stocked up on most of the good stuff early on.
Anyway, only a month or so to wait until the next batch of bargains comes out, fingers crossed. Just have to keep the hubby sweet in the meantime!!
Good luck with the points collecting at Boots!0 -
Dont forget you can get additional discount through one cashback sites like greasypalm etc. They seem pretty quick to pay cashback back to the cashback site too from what I have known. It might be only pennies on small items but every little helps.

Have to agree with those who prefer individual threads.
Look at the mag subs thread, 40 odd pages long, many links that do not work, takes ages to go through to find what your looking for (not interested in many of the mags mentioned so takes ages to find the ones I am interested in) if it was separate threads I could choose the info I want without having to load several pages of info I don't need.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
i agree...the stickies are often out of date, so the info should have long been pushed to the very back of the boards!i'm sick of half mindedly scanninng through them and going for an offer which has long passed.
but surely a seperate boots forum would arouse interest from their head office and make the offers and loopholes short lived?
and also, its seems these stickies are a target for spammers.so not so good in may casesMembre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
yep, seperate threads please :-)Do not speak- unless it improves on silence.0
