Bought some Mails. Just noticed barcode is strange. 9771368597556. Not sure if this will scan or what it will scan as. I will be able to redeem these at my paper shop, but not sure about Tesco? Just a warning to others in case there is a problem and you go out and buy 50.

  • Thanks compmad1 about your word of warning. Just bought the one Daily Mail and went to the cashier that tries her hardest to get a coupon to work. I had my suspicions like you and it would not scan so luckily I had some others ready and waiting to hand over instead. Interesting to see if anyone else gets it to cash. I wonder where that code came from!! Thanks also to everyone who posts on the newspaper thread and everywhere else for that matter.

Quite pleased found some Tesco Fabric Conditioner Soft Apricot reduced to clear from £1.19 to 29p. Will post in the right section.

    Hi all ...

I bought 1 copy of the DM in 'Smiths ... yes barcode is odd ... isn't 97 to do with Euro's?

Anyways ... I used mine in Waitrose no problem as they manually enter all coupons ... just a thought!

Daily Mail coupon wouldn't go through in Tesco or Asda. My local Waitrose never accept any coupons, but could always try again ;)

This coupon if you read it is for the 2 for 1 value pack of magazines. These are in WH Smiths and include Easy Living and Glamour magazine. Couldn't see how they would scan because no barcodes visible in Smiths so probably would have to buy it anyway. Does Tesc ever have these multipacks
