Focus DIY £1362 of tiles for £5!!!

Options
Just been to my local Focus in Bolton Reebok which was closing down today. Long story short - they let me fill a trolley of tiles for £5. The bill came to £1362 - I got mostly glass decorative tiles - and was charged £5. Amazing - so if your local store is closing - get own there with just a few hours to closure. The lady in front of me bought £1200 of spray paints for £25.

As my husband is slightly dodgy at tiling, will use what we can and donate the rest to a better cause, but still fun doing the shopping!

It'll be their last ditch attempt to empty the store before closing. No doubt most of it will end up on ebay though.

It works simply by being in the right place at the right time, they were clearing the shelves, by offering any items to fill a box for £10, or a trolley for £25, but for some reason offered tiles for £5 a trolley. Not a good idea for Ebay as the items are so fragile and heavy to post - and anyway - that seems a little too capitalist! I think I'll give the odds and ends to a local school for a mosaic project. My husband thinks I should make a Gaudiesque bench for the garden - slightly ambitious! Anyway - keep your eyes open in your local Focus and good luck.

AhI didn't mean *your* purchase would end up on ebay, but I'm sure someone's first thought when they see £25 per trolley will be £££ and not DIY
