1. This ASUS laptop competition ("Competition") is open to residents of the United Kingdom, except employees of Microsoft Limited and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate families (defined for the purpose of these rules as husband, wife, mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, or persons residing in the household of such employees), and anyone else professionally connected with this Competition. The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and check their identity.
2. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms of the Competition ("Terms") when they enter this Competition as described in paragraph 5 of these Terms.

3. The Competition will start at 9am on the 23<SUP>rd</SUP> of October 2007, Greenwich Mean Time and end at 5pm on the 15<SUP>th</SUP> of December 2007. ("Competition Period"). No entries received after 5pm on the 15<SUP>th</SUP> of December will be eligible to win a prize.
4. No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.
5. Entrants may enter this Competition in any of three ways (each an "Entry"):
   1. Entrants may enter by registering for the Windows Live Lounge by visiting www.windowslivelounge.co.uk ("Competition Site") and completing the entry form ("Registration Entry"). A Registration Entry is valid only in relation to the Registration Prize (as defined below).
   2. Entrants who have registered for the Windows Live Lounge will also be sent a unique Competition Code and may submit an Entry by entering the code where indicated at the Competition Site ("Code Entry"). A Code Entry is valid only in relation to the Code Prize (as defined below).
   3. Entrants may also enter by visiting www.windowslivelounge.co.uk ("Windows Live Lounge Site") then visiting the 'Live Briefs' section of the Competition Site and uploading a description in their own words of their opinion of and response to the Windows Live Lounge Site ("Live Briefs Entry"). A Live Briefs Entry is valid only in relation to the Live Briefs Prize (as defined below).
6. Entries that are incomplete, defaced or damaged will be deemed invalid. No responsibility will be accepted if Entries are incomplete or email addresses are invalid nor for Entries lost, delayed or damaged in transmission.
7. If any entrant has breached these Terms they may be disqualified. In the event that a Winner is disqualified the judging panel will select an alternative Winner.

8. You confirm and promise that your Entry is original to you and not obscene or defamatory and that you have the right to grant the consents and assign the rights expressed to be granted in these Terms, free from encumbrances and third party rights.
9. By submitting your Live Briefs Entry to us as described in paragraph 5 you hereby (i) grant to Microsoft a worldwide, fully paid-up, exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, prepare derivative work of, display and perform the Live Briefs Entry you submit to us in connection with the Competition and Microsoft�s business, including without limitation as described in these Terms and for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Competition Site and the content displayed therein in any media formats and through any media channels; and (ii) waive in perpetuity in respect of the Live Briefs Entry the benefits of any provision of law known as moral rights or any similar law in any country.
   How to Win
   
   
10. This competition has three parts:
    1. One Registration Entry out of all Registration Entires received during the Competition Period ("Registration Prize Winner") will be randomly selected in a prize draw ("Registration Prize Draw"). The Registration Prize Draw shall take place on Thursday January 31<SUP>st</SUP> 2008.
    2. Fifteen Code Entries out of all Code Entries received during the Competition Period ("Code Prize Winners") will be randomly selected in a prize draw ("Code Prize Draw"). The Code Prize Draw shall take place at the time of entering the code.
    3. One Live Briefs Entry out of all Live Briefs Entries received during the Competition Period will be selected by a Microsoft board of three members as the most interesting Live Briefs Entry ("Live Briefs Prize Winner").
    The Registration Prize Winner, the Code Prize Winner and the Live Briefs Prize Winner shall collectively be "Winners" and each a "Winner" for the purposes of these Terms.

11. There are 17 prizes available to the Winners, each consisiting of an ASUS laptop ranging in value from £1,399 to £1,699 (collectively "Prizes" and each a "Prize"). No cash alternatives to the Prizes are available.
12. Each of the Winners shall be entitled to a single Prize.
13. The Winners will be notified by Microsoft by email or telephone.
14. The Winners may be required to participate in publicity connected with this Competition.
    Privacy
    
    
15. The collection of personally identifiable information for the purposes of this Competition will be subject to the privacy statement at http://privacy1.msn.com/uk/ ("Privacy Statement"). Specifically, the data collected through this Competition will be used only in connection with the running of this Competition, including (without limitation) for the purpose of sending an email to entrants to confirm whether the entrant has won a Prize or not. All personally identifiable information will be deleted approximately eleven (11) months after the Winners are selected. By entering this Competition, you expressly consent to the use of your personally identifiable information in accordance with the Privacy Statement.

16. If any provision or part of these Terms is deemed void or otherwise unenforceable in law then that provision or part shall be deemed excluded and the remainder of these Terms shall remain in force
17. These Terms, the conduct of this Competition and the interpretation and enforcement of these terms and conditions shall be exclusively governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England, unless you are a Scottish resident, in which case you may choose the law of your own country of residence. Entrants irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales, unless they are a Scottish resident or a resident of Northern Ireland, in which case they may choose the courts of their place of residence.

DT124C is the code you put in before you click on the 'pewter at the bottom. It then takes you through to another screen where you spin to line up the symbols, and it tells you (or it told me) I hadn't won and to play again tomorrow. I clicked by mistake before I entered the code and was flagged up with 'wrong value'.

I can't see how to enter either

I registered entered the code but was taken to another page where is said what you had to get to win ie 5 in a row! Where do you spin?
