Star Wars gifts - help!

Help!

I'm doing a rather extravagant (not very MSE of me, I know) Star Wars hamper for my husband (who it may not have escaped your attention is a big kid), because he's worth it!

I've managed to snaffle episodes 4, 5 and 6 off Play.com for a fiver each. The things I still want to get and am looking for cheap prices are these:

- Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga for Xbox 360 (Not Lego Star Wars 2)
- Episodes 1, 2, and 3 on DVD (Ebay's been rubbish so far!)
- small bits and bobs, sweets, figures, etc - cheap ones

Please let me know if you see any around, it would be much appreciated!

Cheers!

  • Try your local supermarkets alot of them sell the figures as do TK Maxx. Tk Maxx sell's them at a good price if you can find one that stocks them.

Not so money saving is this:

My husband will be getting a copy of this if he's lucky! Not a bad price either! He's already been into our local bookshop & has kept on about how good this is. So if your husband is as big a Star Wars fan as mine, this would be a great buy.

You could try game for your game, they usually have good second hand copies!

Hope this helps you a bit!?

My husband is mad on star wars and its a curse i tell you!

in clintons they always do star wars birthday and christmas cards

The ultimate thing any man will ask for is a Lego star destroyer 79.99 If you bought him this out of the blue he would think you was god.

On play.com in gadgets they have the most awesome things like baubles, sculptures oh and funny t-shirts. Don't forget lightsabers - Who is his favourite character? My partner has these and theyre beautiful and make all the sounds etc. They costs about 59.99 and if you get them from Toysrus at the moment they give you a free collectors tin with figures in. Have you thought about tickets to an event such as memorabillia.co.uk so he can meet the stars themselves?

Every man needs socks and mugs and sweets so don't forget them! I bought star wars Pez (remember them) from asda.

My partner is big into the star wars transformers. If you want something impressive looking the transformer death star is in a massive box.

    Anyway.. HTH!!

Sympathy and luck to you xx:Dxx

my hubby is star wars mad and ive got him several things this year. I've got him tickets to the star wars exhibition in London (which finishes on 12th January) which are £16.50, and managed to snag a couple of £5 tickets to London and back. Im also getting him that book mentioned above, £19.99 on amazon, but I have £15 of vouchers from survey sites so i can get it for £4.99!! other cool things, look on play.com for the new range of Pond Wars!! rubber ducks that light up in water! My hubby already has Darth Fadar, but there are 3 new ones launching on 20th November, Princess Layer, Pondtrooper and Luke Pondwater http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/3435922/Pond-Wars-Pondtrooper/Product.html

other cool things I like are the Star Wars Chubbies, like Russian dolls, the anakin/darth vadar one is excellent!! http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/3274655/Star-Wars-Darth-Vader-Anakin-Skywalker-Series-1-Chubbie/Product.html#

with it being the 30th anniversary year, there are lots of collectables around, and also, try searching Ebay, lots of Star Wars lots on there, including autographs and things xx :o

    Hi there!

Well I bought the playing cards and the Star Wars Vault!

Thank you very much! I think I'll have to leave the Destroyer until next Christmas though...apart from anything else it would swamp the basket...I'd love to get him a light saber but I think that may have to wait too...

Thanks so much for all your ideas. I'm keeping an eye out in my local discount shops for other bits and bobs and will let you know what I come across.

I didn't even know it was the 30th anniversary this year! D'oh!

Thanks again to all of you lovely people.

I used to LIVE in FP when I lived in London. And I call my DH a nerd...

Thanks for the Poundland tip. I'm heading there on Friday!
