Jill,,
Please dont go doing or thinking anything silly. There are lots of people on here who can and will give you very good advice.
You need to be a little more clear on exactly what the problem is and how the debt is due to your ex employer. If you feel strong enough you might want to post an SOA (statement of affairs) this will list all your income and all your outgoings. You will be amazed at all help and advice you can and wil recieve. Please remember almost everyone who visits this site has been or is in a very difficult place right now. But with advice help and guidance they come thru it.
Please try and post and tell us a little more detail of your problem.

Don't give up on life because of debt.....I know how stressfull it is, but there are people who can help you through it.
You mentioned that you were scared of how going bankrupt would affect your parents.....well I'm pretty sure that you commiting suicide will effect them far far worse
I know you don't need a lecture....I've felt suicidal many times in my life but I guess its hard to think straight when you feel that way and put things in perspective.

Firstly, no amount of money (or lack of) is worth your life. Please post here for support and there'll be other suggestions of where you can get support for yourself which is a primary concern.
Make a cuppa, sit down and see how much you can tell us and I'm sure lots of suggestions will come your way.0 -
Hey Jill and welcome to MSE & DFW
Big big hugs to you (not doing the smiley coz it looks rude).
Please, please remember that debt is not the b all and end all of everything. No, its not nice and we would all rather be without it but you are certainly NOT alone
You have had your lightbulb moment now and that coupled with joining here is the begining of the end of your debt ~ whenever you are feeling down or despondant there is usually a miriad of likeminders around to lift you back up again.
You could also post your SOA if you're feeling brave and there may be ways that we can find for you to cut back. CCCS and payplan are also an option but I dont know too much about them to advise further.
Welcome again and rest assured you are in safe hands here
