Hi everyone,
I am loving the hamper ideas. I've already made 2 for christmas presents, was struggling what to get my Mum for her birthday nexy months so thought I'd make her a hamper but am really struggling on what to put in it! I've got the basket from argos, so far I've got this to go in it :-
A glass mug from Wilkos (planning on getting some hot choc sachets)
mini wisk
will get some bars of choc
Got a trolley coin thingy (you know instead of using a pound coin)
Nail file in a case for her handbag
Thinking of getting a photo clip holder
Thats as far as I've got so far! She's so awkard to buy far as pretty much buys everything when she wants/sees it. Has loads of body wash, lotions etc from body shop party recently.
Anyone have any ideas please?!!?!?
Thanks in advance

you can also get some of those small marshmallows - get some cellophane and make a lil bag from that, then put the marshmallows in there, tie the top with some ribbon, and put in the mug with the top of the cellophane sticking out.. it will help the hot chocolate sachets to stick out too, so it'll look really good!
other than that, the only other thing i can think of are other toppings for hot chocolate. e.g. a minature (rum, brandy), some bashed up flake (also in a cellophane bag), maybe a can of squirty cream.. you could look up how to make coffee or hot chocolate syrups (you know the kind of thing that the coffee shops have).. if you add a box of say, some thorntons or maybe handmake some chocolate truffles (there's a recipe on the old style page, or delia has one).
the idea of a book or magazine is a good one.. you can do a whole "snuggling down for the night in bed" hamper, maybe a hot water bottle if she feels the cold, or a shawl to wrap around her shoulders.. you get the idea!

Thanks so much everyone, they're all excellent ideas!
I went and bought a £3 perfume from TJ Hughes which I think she'll really love, and a 'happy birthday nan' thingy as decided to do it from my daughter as her present to her Nan! I'll get out a nice photo of her and my daughter together and look for a nice clip holder. Will also keep my eye out for a nice note book/dairy.
I've now decided to set a budget of about £15/£20 for it.
Will have to keep a note of all these ideas, might put one together for my Nan for christmas.
Thanks againx0 -

What lovely ideas. I am sure that lots of people would love to have any of these hampers.
Can I ask what you make the actual hamper from?I have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat - Rebecca West
