UU is the largest university on the island of Ireland with 25,000 students, 69 per cent of whom study full time and 31 per cent study part time. We have four campuses throughout Northern Ireland: Jordanstown (near Belfast), Belfast City Centre, Coleraine on the north coast (great for surfing!) and Magee in Londonderry. The university of Ulster also has an excellent reputation for teaching quality.

The Students' Union is active on all four campuses, providing the full range of support services and entertainment possibilities. The bars are open every evening, offering satellite television, video games, pool and snooker.

We have a long history of sporting achievement. Our Sports Academy, which places sport at the heart of the university, is the only one of its kind in any third level education facility in Ireland and brings together all aspects of sport in the University from world-class athletes to those who take part for recreation. Our six faculties offer an amazing choice of subjects. You can put your studies to practical use by being one of the 2,800 students each year who take on a work placement in the public and private sectors throughout the UK and overseas.
