motor racing mad 7 year old hamper

have a 7 year old nephew with a newly discovered passion for motor racing, not necessarily F1, touring car etc

any witty ideas for filling a hamper and most of all what to make container from

have ordered rory the racing car dvd, and am investigating a racing suit. we have a budget of around £60 from between the family for this

    How about these Shrinkles. Hobbycraft sell them if you have one near you and they are on offer of 3 4 2 at the moment with lots to choose from.

    Edited to add: Your nephew would colour it in and then a grown up puts it in the oven and it shrinks. Think you can make key rings and all sorts out of them depending on the set you buy.

    Why don't you write a letter to the Public Relations Manager at one or more of the F1 racing teams (for example McLaren, who are at Woking Business Park,
    GU21 5JY) and ask them nicely if they have any small promotional items relating to their team which they might be willing to send you for your racing-mad 7-year-old? If you make your letter charming enough, you might well get some lovely pictures, stickers, keyrings, perhaps autographs etc.
