Last weeks thread ~ http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=6490924#post6490924Good afternoon lovely DFWs
Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!
Moozie x
welcome all... I hope you have had a great week and kept it low... and are you ready to be turned red/green? Everyone can join, just post a target in keeping with you/your debts/your spends, don’t worry about everyone else’s budgets. Then each day post on the daily spends thread and add them all up ready to post the following Saturday. The challenge runs from Sunday to the Friday... everyone welcome... please dont worry if you have gone over budget and will be turned red it happens... to me more than anyone else.

Hi Pap - Unfortunately you will need a different colour for me
I have spent £27.41
This is still my first week here, and although I have overspent, it was all on stuff that was needed - and compared to previous weeks in my life, the fact that I tracked every penny (thanks to spending diary.com) and was constantly aware of what I was spending & why, I feel really good.
Spend for next week:
Petrol £10
Paper £2
Contingency £2
Slimming Club £2.64
So total = £17

I'm back at uni this week so it'll probably be a bit more difficult but I'm cutting this weeks budget to £15.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on
:j NOW DEBT FREE!!!! :jI try to take life one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once

Hello everyone
I managed to spend £41.47 so i have passed my weekly target :T.
Will you put me down a budget for £40 for this week please pap? x0 -
Hi Pap, I haven't been too good at reporting daily so it's worse than I thought - but still under budget! I spent £37 this week.
I'm going to give myself £60 again this week. Ideally I will go into labour (VERY VERY SOON) and not spend anything, but the longer I go overdue the more likely I am to spend :rolleyes:0 -
miss marple, thats great considering its your first week, my first week was so bad :rotfl: keep it up
babes, well done hun, especially as i know that was a challenge to you anyways :j
