Just received Makro mail (from 25/5/05) and the new NWHD5 MP3 player is selling at £149-99 + VAT (£176) which, if you are looking for one, is the cheapest around at the moment. Normally £200 in the shops or £183 on Amazon.

I have been looking at these, and was going to order online this week.
But wanted to buy from a shop, as it will be easier to take back if a fault develops.

Its got a 40hour battery, but will realistically last at least 25 using MP3's , and is my preferred choice over the common IPOD.Be nice0 -
svcdirect.co.uk have this player for 158.99 + £7.99 del. Most places are selling this player for £199 or £183 (amazon). This is a bargain. :j

I ordered mine from amazon as-well. Came across svc direct through dealtime.co.uk and saw they were the cheapest, then checked my order at amazon and its been dispatched.
SVC direct seem to have good reviews at dealtime.Nobody is more persuasive than a good listener.0 -
I emailed SVC hoping they didn't have any in stock but got an instant reply saying they had. I thought that was an excellent service.

2-3 weeks wait now and the price has gone up
I ordered one before all this happened of course, but stupidly cancelled the order thinking it was something else. I've managed to reinstate, but have to wait 2-3 weeks . . . still trying to find out what price I will pay.

After reading about the problems people are experiencing on avforums.com , I was weary that my HD5 may become faulty, and figured I would rather pay £9 more and go to Makro as it will be easier to return.
Its so small, cant get over the size of it. Be nice0 -
