Luxury charity gifts for the hamper

If you are making up a fancy toiletries hamper, L'Occitane are selling soaps and a beauty line that aid ORBIS - a blind charity. http://uk.loccitane.com/FO/Content/LP/ImmortelleSpecialOffers/orbis.aspx

The Design of the Teddy Bear Soap
Its intriguing and original shape, which looks like a Teddy Bear, is the adaptation of a sculpture made by Martin Rubio, a visually impaired New Yorker. In the ‘70s, he frequently dreamed about this imaginary character and then decided to devote to it a collection of fantasy objects. We want to thank him very much for having allowed us to share in his emotions.
The Fair Trade Making of the Soap
Moumouni Konaté, a Burkina Faso soap maker was trained by L’Occitane. In an industrial partnership effort, our experts went to Bobo-Dioulasso to show him how to adapt our methods to his soap making operation. To help him start his business, we entrusted him with manufacturing the Teddy Bear Soap and gave him an order at a fair price.
A new mission for ORBIS in 2007
The sale of these soaps should make a contribution of up to €100,000 and L’OCCITANE has chosen to award this amount to a programme in Bangladesh. This choice is part of a overall objective and will have an important impact on the life of thousands of Bengalis who have no access to even the most elementary eye care.
