An oldie but an update from me!

I wanted to share my possible good news, I got my early discharge paperwork the other day and so I'm pretty sure I'm going to get discharged at roughly the 6 month mark!

My BR was very straight forward. I only had minimum amount of debt (maximum stress to me though!) and I only receive benefits so nothing to make an IPA from and that's probably why I'm getting signed off early.

My OH, on the other hand, will have to go the whole 12 months. He pays his IPA from his tax deduction which is fine as what you never had, you don't miss, right?! Then his journey will be over also.

I'm just glad my journey is almost over and wanted to thank those who helped me along the way.

    Hi bakey! We've missed you!

Good news for you. but why are you so sure about the hubby? Did he do something wrong that I can't remember?

  • Hope it all goes thru for you smoothly Bakey. I'm at the six month mark too but no sign of any ED paperwork....unfortunately.

Nice to hear from you Bakey. I did wonder how you were getting on.

    Good luck with the ED.:D

As Neko says, are you sure it's out of the question for your OH as well? An NT tax code based IPA doesn't preclude an ED.

    Thanks everyone!

AOAD - It's horrible waiting but then look at it this way, we all expect it to be 12 months so I guess we just have to assume we'll be that long. I know I did since my OR told me at interview that they were so busy, an ED for anyone was unilkely.

Neko - Nah, his was really straight forward as well, it was because he is employed that made him get the payment thing. He was made BR before me and has not had any paperwork, despite regular other paperwork coming from the OR office so we're assuming he'll be going the full 12 months.

Btw, I also assumed any payment order would make it the full 12 months until discharge anyway. Is that right?
