Hi elly2
Its never too late I only started mine about 4 weeks ago.
Get yourself down to Wilkinsons if you can - I bought my baskets there - largest one for MIL and darling niece for £1.99 each and a couple of smaller ones which actually had a cotton lining in them for £1.49 each so I was well chuffed as I had seen them in au naturelle but they were a lot more expensive.
Boots have a sale on at the moment so it might be worth popping in there to see if you can get hold of any cosmetics & smellies etc. Have you read the boots thread on the GRAB it board well if not - please do its full of all sorts of glitches etc that are available.
Ideas for your basket could include, hair stuff & Jewellery (wait for claires to have a sale), toiletries, perfume & makeup
I am sure that someone else will be along soon with even more ideas - The people on here are wonderful, I am making a basket up for my niece with a "Horsey" theme and they have given me some wonderful and imaginative ideas.
Good luck with the baskets and let us know how you are getting on with them

im doing a similar idea for my sister who is a single with 2 young children mum and has little money to treat herself i am on a dmp and cant afford to splash out at xmas but i have received free samples of moisturiser and make up and shampoos so im filling her basket with all these so she can have a bit oif luxury that ahe would not normally bebale to afforded without breaking my bank also made the bowl thing to put it all in out of paper mache
i am very lucky in the sense i have a very understanding family who would prefer your gift cost nothing but had all the thought in the world in it0 -
dd 15 wants an ipod and mobile for xmas i think with my savings i can just get them for her(am busy looking around for the best deals atm) but am looking to get her something else so thought a gift basket would be a fab idea and just fill it with little things some of them will be freebies and the list from alison has given me some great ideas0

If you have a look at the Gift Basket and Hamper Index (at the top of the first page on the forum), there are several threads devoted to Hamper Ideas for young/teenage girls.

you could either get a phone that is an mp3 too or mp3 that looks like an ipod (type mp3 player into amazon)
or make a hamper with lotsof things in it0 -
