Working Family Tax Credit errors

Excuse me if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but apparently the department made a blunder and all of the people who they told were overpaid, me being one of them, may now be either up for a refund or have what they owed written off! I suspect the latter will happen if this comes to pass.

Being told that we had been overpaid over £2k and we had to pay it back meant an income of £70 per month was instantly cut, we used it to help with bills ect and began the start of our credit problems, along with the mortgage rate rising as it did.

Partly because of this we had to get involved with the CCCS which helped us immensley yet we suffered because of the black mark it gave us on our credit history, more than 3 years down the line we are still suffering only just been given a remortgage at a "medium" rate which means we don't really get to clear our debt as we are just about paying back what we are now except that its one mortgage repayment rather than loans and cards etc.
