hi, i hope this is in the right place
my best friend is going travelling for 3 months with her husband, i can't remember all the places they are going to but i know it includes thailand, bali, new zealand and canada. they are in hotels for some of it and backpacking some of it and have a campervan in new zealand.
me and my friends are wanting to put together a little bon voyage present for them with all useful things they will need on their travels such as mini toiletries, travel washing line, first aid kit, sewing kit etc.
we have about £30 to spend and are wanting to get as much as possible for as little as possible!
any ideas of what we could buy, and where to buy it from, would be much appreciated. i need to have it all by next sat in order to give her it.
many thanks

Try the £1 shop / poundland / everything for 99p shops for bargains, they sometimes have just what you need!
If you're getting a washing line then pegs are always handy, and quite cheap
How about some sticky labels with friend's addresses already written on for sending postcards / letters etc?0 -
For toiletries and/or food stuff, how would you feel about repackaging? You can buy a really nice set of mini bottles, fill them up with shampoo, cleanser, balsamic vinegar (as appropriate!) and draw nice little labels on them... works out much cheaper than buying pre-filled minis, you can choose which brand to use, and has a personal touch too.
I recently bought a set of 10 bottles with silver caps for £5.99 delivered... am I allowed to post the link here? This is it, and the admin can remove if necessary: http://www.katseyeblends.co.uk/empty%20bottles.shtml
First Aid / sewing kit doesn't have to be a pre-mixed one either - compare prices, but if you can buy a set of plasters / scissors etc separately and pop them in a nice bag...
In the army ration packs, you always get a little bag with sachets of tea, coffee, sugar, whitener and chewing gum - cheap to put together but a sweet touch, nothing like a nice cuppa!
How about one or two of those miniature bottles of wine as well? http://www.justminiatures.co.uk/pages-main/category-38/red-wine-miniatures.html?zenid=f200a0309ce9ea973dada2b1dbe1657e
