Hello
I just found out I am an Auntie for the second time to baby Issac who was born this morning. How exciting. There are lot of babies due around the same time so I have been collecting bargains and have just made up my first baby hamper

Contents include
3 x muslin cloths - £2.40 ( bought on 20% off day)
1 x Blue baby suit saying " worth the wait" - £4 (bought on 20% off day)
1 x white baby gro, 1 x baby vest, 1 x pair of mittens - Part of a 10 piece set I bough at sainsbury's for a fiver.
Humphrey cutlery - 99p from £2.99 on sale at Tesco
Baby Bath - 99p on sale from £3.99 at Boots
Dummy Clip - from a set of 2 99p on sale at Tesco
Baby Bib and rattle gift set - £2.39 60% off stork gifts
Birth Announcement cards from charitycards £3.99
The lily pad bath thermometer is from their wish list - Mothercare £13.99
So a grand total of about £30!

Not really sure how I add a pic so have just put a link in at the mo - can anyone tell me what to do? Many Thanks x

Sounds great.
A good (and cheap) addition would be to add a copy of a newspaper from today (his date of birth) - makes a great collectable for him for the future. A national paper is good for the news of the day and a local one is good too as it will let him see how things have changed in his home town.
I always do it for new babies if I hear about them early enough to be able to still buy/find a paper.
I sometimes also add a copy of the number one CD single, some coins (as who knows what we'll be using by the time the baby's grown up), a copy of the Radio Times and/or other magazines - usually AutoExpress for a boy and a fashion one for a girl.
Free things you can find are the free mags you get from the cinema with what's playing and the coming attractions and the leaflet they print with the list of what's on.
A free-ish thing is to take some pictures of his home town at the time of his birth so he can see how it changes as he gets older.
It's also good to add something that's trendy or important at the moment - a couple of years ago I was putting in a charity writsband as they were everywhere. No idea what you could put in now - something Harry Potter related I suppose.
If I'm doing a whole boxful like this I usually buy a nice storage box - like the big shoebox type things you can buy from WH Smith etc as they tend to be covered in nice paper.0 -

I am not very creative so it may turn into a disaster.
