Tricky one! How old is he? What does he like?
How about a 'things my dad like when he was young' hamper? You could try and get a newspaper from the time, or a dvd of the year he was born (think you can get these!), plus some retro sweets, retro toys (anything he loved when he was young - e.g. Transformers, He-man, depends how old he is!), retro annuals (e.g. Beano). I'm sure his parents would be able to provide some inspiration!Go your own way..

would like it to be things he can keep really
my only idea so far is digital photo frame (saving for one)0 -
Does he like alcohol, spirits etc? You could get miniatures of those to put in.
Or perhaps travel sized toiletries, after shave, shower gel etc?:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

There's a code over on the Discount Vouchers thread for a personalised photo mug - you pay P+P only, just a few pounds. I got one for my hubby for Father's Day with a pic of dd (now 9 months) on it and he loves it!0

Is he interested in anything, gardening perhaps? I'd try and base it round his interests but I find men really hard to buy for :rolleyes:Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0

magazine subscriptions are always a winner with men of a certain age.......... of course i mean motoring magazines, classic cars, gardening etc. Not mucky mags!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

Don't forget you can get magazine subscriptions on Tesco Deals. So if he likes cars you could get him 4x4 magazine for £11.25 of Tesco vouchers and put it with a car washing kit in a bucket. Or Decanter magazine with some bottles of wine, corkscrew etc. Then there's magazines on golf, gardening, food, Loaded and Maxim :eek:Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0
