If you go into gamestation or game you could get a secondhand psp with games bundle for about £100-110. Just depends what they have.

Are they not updating the PSP very soon? they will be dropping in prices then.

I know its for a birthday, but it may be worth getting the new one for him for Xmas??

Hi Butlers 1982 and thanks for that. One of many (many, many) sales people he has spoken to told him that exact same thing. I think he sees it that he has waited soooo long for one, he has gone passed the point of 'if I hang on a bit longer...' To be fair to him, I have made him wait sooooo long because of a) knowing the price would come down soon and b) hoping he would give up and it would turn into one of those fads. I think I need to 'give in gracefully' - he has proved himself this time :rotfl:

Going to look at the link now sugarcubed.....

  • Hi!
I brought one four weeks ago second hand from a local shop. It cost £85, came boxed with a free second hand game and had three months guarantee.

I thought long and hard about ebay, but decided against it as if there was a problem then returning it was likely to be difficult.

The suggestions above about the old one being discounted are I suspect being optimistic as I've been told Sony have been running stocks down for a while in preperation for the new version being released at the end of this month.

Wherever you get the PSP from, ebay can be a good place to get some games from and allowing for postal delays you could start looking now - the PSP will be more warmly received if he's got stuff to play on it and buying games on the high street can be horribly expensive.

    I hope that helps

I bought my now 11 year old son a PSP with 4 games last Christmas and I can honestly say he hasn't played with it for more than an hour all year. He much prefers his PS2.

Am thinking of selling but I can't find the Charger or the instructions. My son is very scatty - a bit like me. Not sure whether to purchase a charger from Ebay before I sell (think they are about £5)

I am fed up buying things that I think they will be delighted with only for them to be hardly used. My two eldest boys will be getting money this Christmas.
