I phoned up Tchibo and they said the price is still £699. Where did you get £299 from?

Thats a lovely bit of kit for 300 quid, it's likely to be a one shot PC without any chance of upgrades except maybe memory and HD.

Wireless, Digital TV and neat built in wecam, very nice features for a simple family desktop.

A very good deal at £300, not at £699.

Hi, i'm confused, is this an offer available at the Tchibo shops or in Sainsburys shops? I phoned both shops (the Sainsburys was a BIG one!)and was told they do not sell computers!

I rang main UK CS and spoke to someone who couldnt speak english. Anyway he searched all his stock, went away for a few minutes to check something else and came back and I just about caught him saying they have a medion pc.

Sainsburys in Holywood have a section for Tchibo products anything from coffee to socks..it was located there with a large Sticker on the front saying reduced from £899..the one on the shelf had been opened so when I took it to checkout I asked if they could get me a sealed one..
A few minutes later one was delivered to the checkout from their storeroom..
hope this helps..may be a local offer only
    cheers

Seems like damned good value at £299 to me - what's the catch I wonder? Apparently the power supply is external, which is annoying but not a deal-breaker. 100G hard disk is a little on the small size if you're going to record a lot of TV programmes, but then you could hook on an external USB or FireWire drive if you wanted.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

Spoke to my local sainsbury's CS desk and they'd not even heard of Tchibo so i explained where i'd got it from . The chap went of to ring someone and came back to say they didn't do anything like that in our region . Apparently he'd been to ring manager who rang area manager (East Midlands).

Shame really as seemed a great deal for the price and we're looking to get a new one from somewhere this weekend .
