Hi,
Details Below:
Sortcode: 77-77-90
Account #: 90000468
Reference: <Loan Agreement Number>
The loan agreement number is the important part.
If you bank with LTSB and you try and set this up as a bill payment - the internet banking system won't let you. You need to set this up as a Standing Order. It's a quirk in the system.
If you don't want to make regular payments, set it up as an annual standing order. Then, each time you want to make a payment, amend the standing order to go out ASAP. This is what I do. Just don't forget about the SO or you might have a large payment leaving the account in a year's time!
I would imagine that you wouldn't have problems setting this up as a bill payment with other bank's internet banking, it's just that the Lloyd's system recognises that you are trying to overpay a loan and doesn't like it.
The funds will credit the loan account in about 3 to 4 days. I always suggest sending a £1 to test it first.
It definitely works though. Not a lot of people know about it. But coz i'm staff, I have a loan and i'm sooooooooooooo clever- I do !
Hope this helps.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0 -
Don't get caught being staff on here, it can get you sacked.
Thanks for your concern. It's not a huge secret or anything like that. I freely tell customers how it can be done every day in work. It's just that, for some reason, many people seem to get told that they have to visit the branch to make overpayments.
