Job Centre letter

I'm on Contributions based JSA and i left my last job which was temporary due to Medical reasons, and the other day i got his letter saying that when someone claims JSA they need to find out why they left a job and they said my previous employer has said i left of my own accord due to Medical Reasons and now i've got to fill in this form about why i left-it was cos the work i did was causing contact dermatitis on my hands which were itchy and bleeding and i needed my hands for this job. and i need to contact my Dr and get a statment saying he advised me to leave-which he did and he also gave me 3 weeks sick leave, which i took, because i wanted to see if my hands would improve and if it could control it, cos i really liked working there. And the letter says " This letter offers you the chance, before a decision is made to show that you had just cause for leaving your empployment etc. I just know they're gonna end my claim, even though it's been 2 months now
. When i claimed i put that i left beacuse it was temporary and medical reasons and i thought that, that was why i was on Contributions based and not income based. surely they can't stop me having contributions based when i've made my NIS contributions. I've got to see my Dr on Monday morning and ask him. Has anyone else had one of these letters and got any advice? I've been crying about it, cos i'll be in the you know what if i lose it, i need this money and have no other income.

Don't worry.
They have to check out peoples' claims, not just accept that if someone has paid NI contributions they can receive benefits simply by saying they have left their job for medical reasons. They are protecting the money of all of us by trying to prevent fraud.
Given the situation you mention, I would expect them to accept this - and you will have to show that you are looking for work, of course.
Do also see whether you need further help beyond the basic JSA.0 -
I'm definetly looking for work, i've had a few interviews and have one tomorrow and have signe up with agencies and also sent off CV's and letters. It's just i know of someone else who got one of these letters and his JSA was stopped, and i'm just so paranoid that mine will be as well, even though i am genuine.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0

Easier said than done but don't worry about it.
They are just checking that you had a good reason for leaving your job. From what you've said you did just put everything down and attach a letter from your doctor to prove it.
I would just say to the doctor that you need a letter for the Job Centre just to confirm the reason why you left work and that it was on their advice.0 -
well i got my Letter from the GP and i hope it does the job. does anyone know if whoevers dealing with my claim at the Job centre can call my previous employer about what my GP says in the letter or whether it would breach confidentiality.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0

I don't know what timescale to expect, I'm afraid.
But I did want to say "thank you" for letting us know how things have moved on (or not more recently).
Hope you get things sorted soon - but most of all I hope you will have found the right job for you in the near future.0 -
I have actually been offered a job, but I can't start until a CRB check clearance cos it's working with vunerable people. It's the first time i've ever been offered a job through a proper interview. It's just part time and it's for a domestic , but it's better than nothing and being on JSA and I went for a visit last week and it's a really lovely place and the people who I'll be working with and around are so nice.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0

In your first post you mentioned being on contribution-based JSA and in your last you mentioned that your job will be part-time.
If your job is less than 16 hours a week, you could continue to claim JSA for as long as JSA is payable (six months in total, I believe). If you work over 16 hours then you would of course cease to be eligible for JSA.0
