I think you do. I looked at this in some depth for my girls. My OH and I came to the consclusion that if they didn't have the jabs and got measles we were stuck. I read that you had no come back without documentation so we had it documented by a consultant paediatrician that they were developing normally so that if after the jabs they developed problems we could take action against the government..

And now all people aged 15-27 have to go get a MMR jab as Mumps is making a come back due to the amount of people not having their children vaccinated.

I fear you wasted your money though as autism is almost impossible to diagnose before the age of 2, and most children on the spectrum will have shown no signs as babies and young toddlers. The disorder is diagnosed where the child shows problems with communication, social interaction and imagination, and young children can't communicate well, play side by side rather than together and can't demonstrate imagination until they are much older.

My DD was diagnosed at aged 2 1/2 which was early, but we had no idea at all until she was about 2 that there might be any issues. Up to that point she had met all her milestones either as expected or ahead of time, and her speech and communication seemed also to be developing as would be expected. Her ASD signs though did start prior to MMR so we are confident were not caused by it.

Just about all the other parents I know with kids on the spectrum had no idea when their children were babies or toddlers that there was a problem (even if they had older children who were on the spectrum), and all the literature I've read supports that signs do not commonly appear until later.
