My friend is 40 next week and I would like to make her a celebration hamper but have absolutely no idea what happened in '67.

I've just done this for my DH 30th on Wednesday, I started with Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967, and the the BBC website. I had several replies on here as well which helped add to things.
