Online glasses from Spexmaniac

Has anyone else been disappointed with glasses from Spexmaniac recently. I have previously been very satisfied with them, but I it seems that they have gone downhill lately.
I have received my glasses today from Spexmaniac. This is the third pair they have sent me, as I had to send the first two pairs back, as despite paying over £140 for a pair with extra thin transition lenses, (I have high prescription) they have arrived looking like milkbottles.
Unfortunately this pair is not much better, with lenses 7mm thick, very embarrasing to wear.
I want to send them back yet again but I am a bit scared as I don't normally make a fuss over things and I know they have to pay a lot for materials even if they do it wrong.
Part of me is thinking about informing trading standards, as I am sure they are not supplying the 1.67 index lenses I paid for. I can understand them making a mistake once, but if it happens 3 times it has to be on purpose. (ie fraud)
Anyone have any advice on the best course of action to take.

with small glasses at my prescription (-8.5 both eyes), the edges of the lenses are up to 6.5mm (just measured) with 1.67 index. what prescription are you?:happyhear0

I am a -7 in my worst eye. The reason I am so suspicious is that they previously made me a nice pair of glasses in the same frame with 1.6 index that were less than 5mm thick. I thought by paying extra for 1.67 index they would be even thinner, but this does not appear to be the case. The only real difference is that these new thick ones are transition lenses, but I have been told that this shouldnt make any difference.0

i Heard that as well they are not as good as they were and if you are not happy with your glasses just call them and tell them .0

if you have a direct comparison in the same frames, then it definitely sounds a bit odd - give thema ring and see what they say. alternatively you could go to another optician and they can usually tell your presecription from your glasses so they must eb able to tell what index was used. might be helpful to check that before you ring and complain so that you're fully armed!:happyhear0
