hello eveyone,
excuse me for being v. cheeky and also if this is in the wrong place!
This sounds a little strange, but I am going to Greece as a volunteer for the sea turtle protection society for a month this summer for work experience... it's camping in an olive grove (!) and I'm going to working in the sun all day
to cut a long story short, I am going to need about 1,000 litres of sun-block amongst other things, which doesn't quite fit in with a student budget at the end of the year! It's all self-funded and has fees, so the costs are really mounting
my local tesco's doesn't have a pharmacy or anything, so... anything like heath and beauty coupons or things that will help with the cost of similar items would help me a great deal.
Sorry to be cheeky like but my tesco's is just... rubbish!
and if anyone wants some health-club boots vouchers then I will happily send them someone's way!
Ta,
Emma

Hi Emma, that sounds brilliant. I am sure that there will be some money savers along very soon with some great ideas to help you out. Maybe you could give us the web address (if there is one) which will tell us a bit more about what you are going to do.
Good luck!!! x0 -
Hello,
the address is http://www.archelon.gr/eng/wois.htm - I'm going to Rethymno (though can't pronounce it yet haha) in Crete. Can't wait! I'm a bit worried about getting sorted though because I have 2nd year exams at the moment and they only finish on the 20th June - I fly out at 6.30am on the 29th!!
I really want a career in conservation so I'm goingt o gain experience really but it's a bonus being in such a great area. Can't wait to see my first baby turtle!
anyway I'm rambling slighly :-P0 -
Hiya Emma
It might help if you post the area you live in - lots of peeps had some great Boots bargains earlier in the year and may feel they could donate some actual suncream if you live close enough."You can't buy love, but you can pay heavily for it." Henry Youngman0 -
Hi Dormy,
I'm a student in London but 'real' home back up North in Preston, Lancashire... taking a flying visit before I leave
thanks for the responses, everyone here is so helpful and kind! I've been a 'browser' for a while (and thanks to this site we just claimed back my dad's bank charges which is going to make such a big difference with twins at uni)0 -
So two potential donor areas then lol.
Unfortunately I'm nowhere near either!
No H&B etc vouchers left at the moment but if I get any more I'll donate hun ok! Have a great time anyway and hopefully some other peeps will be able to help."You can't buy love, but you can pay heavily for it." Henry Youngman0 -
Thanks, that's very kind :-)0

I hope you aren't flying out on a budget airline! All of those suncreams etc are going to weigh an awful lot. Make sure you find out ahead of time how much you can take with you. If I think of anything else, i'll let you know. xx
p.s. Does you dad work at BNFL or similar? If so, maybe your parents can set up a collection (for goods needed) at their place of work. I'm thinking a black bin with an A4 sheet explaining what you need and why.0
