I'm have dark brown hair and of course the few grey hairs i have show up. I'm not keen on using permanent hair colours due to the ammonia but happy to use the semi-permanents but of course they don't last as long. How often can you keep using them? They certainly don't last the 28 shampoos they claim

Hi
I've got the grey ones too, and I find that coz they are are grey they take and hold colour very well. I have only ever used semi-permanent and only need to re-apply when the new hair grows through!0 -
I re-do mine as soon as I start seeing re-growth. I never do the roots and then the ends separately as they suggest either - too much faffing. I just slap it on all over and leave it.
I like Boots Botanics and Shwarzkopf country colours and think they seem to "hold" on the the grey hairs a bit better than some of the others I have tried.0 -

ha, ha. yes me too! Just put it on all over - much better colour coverage too otherwise your roots end up a different colour.
Well I use Casting (is it by Loreal)? which is very nice but just never seems to last as long as they say and I only wash my hair twice a week.0 -

I usually colour my hair with a semi-permanent about every 6 to 8 weeks. It works out about a week before I get my hair trimmed.
I also use country colours as I find they take well even on grey hairs.0
