Help
After a great start to the year where i used all my sales bargains to fill my birthday hampers I have now lost my motivation re: xmas.
Out of the 14 hampers I need to make I have only done 5.
Please help - can anyone tell me how they stay on track buying each week.
I think the biggest problem is that i cant get my themes organised.
I have dad, mum, mil, fil, bil, brother and sil still to start.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I try to keep on track by making a list for each person of the sorts of things they like - I add to it if they mention something randomly too - my Dad last week mentioned randomly that he'd not had a certain type of sweet for years, so I wrote it on my list. This allows me to keep in mind some of their current interests and expands sorts of things that would be suitable and that I might not think of looking for otherwise. Excellent advice celyn90.
I have printed out a calendar type sheet for birthdays to list presents and, importantly, the price. Another poster on this board suggests keeping a "gift book" in her handbag for quick reference. Ideal for both birthdays and Christmas. I find that setting a budget can in fact be motivation too.0 -
I have lists everywhere.
One in my handbag, one in my gift cupboard and another on the computer. Ive got people listed , a them for each or a few ideas i think they'd like and then i sort of add round that.
Like this year for example - im really close to my dad. So whilst i was perusing round Amazon.com i saw a book entitled chicken soup for the father/daughter soul - so ive decided to do a family basket for him.
Ive decided to include
*the book
*a reversable photoframe - on one side a photo of him with me when i was
little and on the other a photo of him and my son
*a framed picture from Benjamin
*a copy of Bens first years video (my dad doesnt have one) need to
somehow record it onto video first though from the video recorder
*daddy bookmark
and anythign else i fancy addingTime to find me again0 -
thanks for all the replies
will definately get more organised again
otherwise i'll regret it when its gets to december0
