Kenwood Mixer Ice Cream

Has any one used the ice cream attachment with their Kenwood mixer? If so does it work, got any tips or advice?

Thanks
Paul

We got one towards the end of last summer so didn't use it a huge amount but it did make lovely icecream and frozen yoghurt. We keep the bowl in the freezer so it's ready when we want it and luckily have a big enough freezer to do so. I think it would be a pain otherwise.

It makes loverrrrrrrrrly ice cream - I keep our bowl in the freezer too so we can make it on a spur of the moment. We used it a lot with fromais frais and fresh fruit.

We don't use it much for actual ice cream as it is yummy - my weakness- and I would be three times the size I am now if we used it a lot.
  • HM icecream is so much better than anything bought. Definately on a par with what you can get in a good Italian Gellateria. Infact so good that I treated myself to a proper ice-cream maker with built in freezing unit. The ice-cream it makes is no different to what I used to make in my £20 machine from Argos that needed to be placed in the freezer for 24 hours before use. But it can be used at anytime and more than once so well worth the expense! Its probably a bit underused, but I might put that right this summer.
SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"
