Hello guys ,just a quick question about a company that contacted me about my serps pension, i am just trying to find out what i can about this firm ,has any one had any dealings with them ??? they are wanting money upfront which i aint to happy about to process my claim,anyone heard anything about them ?? they have there own website that looks shoddy to say the least,https://www.adstan.com and this is there address 4th floor,tenterden street,hanover square,london,w1s 1td,thanks in advance.

    There are a couple of companies like this. Its a bit of a scam. They want money up front as there isnt a very good chance of winning.

    Contracting out of Serps/S2P is not bad advice. About 1/3rd of people are financially better off because they contracted out. There are also pros and cons to contracting out. It is one of those areas where only time will tell which was best and at for some being contracted out is best, for others contracting in is best. If you have any doubts to your contracted in/out situation, you should go to an IFA and get it reviewed. It wont cost you money up front.

  • Thanks for the reply m8, i did a little more research on the company in question and found out that from today they are not allowed to phone you up asking for your business ,or to ask for money upfront and also that this company have been reported to the fsa,that makes me a happy chappie because i had doubts and i checked them out and saved myself 495 pound,where others might have not ,thanks again
