o2 Wireless Festival 2 for 1 tickets

13 March 2007

What's the deal?

To promote the Wireless Festival, the sponsor, O2, is offering a BOGOF ticket promotion for all of its contract and pay-as-you-go customers.

The festival takes place at two venues; London's Hyde Park (Thurs 14 - Sun 17 June) and Leeds' Harewood House (Fri 15 - Sun 17 June), and has a line-up including White Stripes, Daft Punk, Faithless, Kaiser Chiefs, Badly Drawn Boy and Just Jack.

Tickets usually cost around £40 each + booking and delivery fees, so at £24 each (incl. charges) you've got yourself a bit of a deal. There are only 4,000 tickets available to you'll have to be quick to snatch them up.

How to get these tickets

Tickets are only sold through calling Ticketmaster on 0871 230 5440 from 9am on Monday 12th March 2007. You''ll need to confirm the make, model and number of your mobile phone to qualify for these tickets, which'll then be sent to your mobile phone within 48 hours of purchase and then again a week before the festival.

Ts & Cs

1. The offer is open to all O2 customers aged 16 or over as at Monday 12th March 2007.

2.The tickets available for purchase are to the O2 Wireless Festival in London on 14-17 June 2007 or Leeds on 15-17 June 2007.

3. The offer opens at 9am on Monday 12 March 2007 and closes at midnight on 15 March 2007. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

4. There is a limit of 4 tickets (two at full price and two free) per customer.

5. Ticket purchases may be refused if more than 4 tickets are requested or the ticket allocation is sold out.

6. O2 accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed text responses or delayed, incomplete or unprocessed online purchase transactions.

7. Ticketmaster’s decision as to ticket allocations is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

They WERE free EVENTUALLY lasty year when the hadnt sold enough. Was easy to get and managed to get 4 tickets for NADA. They may do the same this year if no one buys tickets but its a risk.

The link was from this very forum last year :)
Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:
  • BOGOF might suggest that tickets won't or aren't selling as quickly as other festivals, but I suspect a lot of the reason for last year's free ticket giveaway was the World Cup. May not be the same this year - we'll see.

Free tix would go down nicely but in the meantime lemme see if I can dig out those free 02 sims I got ages ago....

Doesn't give you much info does it. Considering there are only two acts per day on Thur, Fri, and Sat it could at least tell us what time they are on.

In fact surely there are more acts than that?

It's no Glastonbury or T in the Park that's for sure.
  • Well yeah a load more bands will be added nearer the time! Only the headliners get announced right at the start, everyone else gets added in the next few months.

Here is the full lineup from last year:

Bear in mind they were also giving them away the previous year - ie, every year this festival has been on!
