I'm just about to buy a £349 (+£20 delivery) playhouse for my daughter from B&Q and wondered if anyone had any discount codes/vouchers that they would care to share with me.
Alternatively if anyone knows a cheaper place to buy a wooden playhouse a suggestion would be good...

This must be in every thread re B&Q "discounts" ....
Take someone with you when you go to make the purchase (has to be a Wednesday) who can prove that they are over 60 years old and get them to "make the purchase".
You can still pay for it on your own credit card or by whatever means you wish, but you will (well the over 60 person will) get a 10% discount.
FOCUS do the same but it is on a TUESDAY !There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

This reminded me of the Wednesday I said to the girl at the till that I had spent an hour outside the store trying to "pick up a pensioner" to no avail, she laughed and laughed and gave me the 10% discount using a card tucked under her till saying it was the best laugh she had, had all day!
Try it, it might work :rotfl:0 -
Thanks for that, just need to borrow a pensioner now as parents all live abroad!0

The OAP discount only applies at the B&Q supercentres not the warehouses. Thought people might not know this, as friend who works there says they get loads at her branch on a wednesday, when they dont offer it as they are a large warehouse.0

Thanks for that info. Got 2 B&Q's near us so hopefully one will do it. Am only going to shop at B&Q on a Wednesday now! Haven't told my Dad yet - he'll come with me no probs! It'll be getting him to admit his age that'll be the hard bit! Anyway it will save me about £16, so thanks guys!Accepted offer on our house - Sept 2006

I think the over 60 yrs person has to prove their age on the first visit, i.e a pension book, birth certificate etc. Then they get a card, which is shown each time they......ohhhhhhhhhh 'you' I mean shop!
My parents won't do this for me, in-laws would have, but have both passed away. I'll have to adopt a granny..:j0 -
OAP for hire in the preston area......
Sure my dad would oblige if anyone is in the area0
