Thanks, DD i`m pretty confident the company scheme won`t ,was just concerned about the stakeholder.
New scheme is in 2 parts
1. 1/100th defined, i pay 4pc of gross basic salary.
2. Money purchase ( standard life fund ) employer pays 2pc i can choose between 1 to 11pc based on gross basic salary.
Only worry on visiting standard life web site is that there is little performance history as these funds are only a couple of years old!0 -
ask standard life to give you a projection assuming no more contributions.
ask your occ scheme for a projection of benefits if they take on the current value of the plan.
Whichever is higher, gets the vote.
SL funds are much the same as other default stakeholder funds. Future is unknown with unit linked. However, with final salary, even if its a 100ths scheme, you will know what you are getting.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
