Thought I'd share this with you after reading the Money Diet.
I had 2 loans for 2 cars. (Wife does not believe in using a bike) 1 loan was at 9% the other at 10%.
I combined the 2 oustanding totals and got a loan at 6%. SAVING No 1.
Put the new loan in a deposit account to pay off when required. SAVINg No2.
When the first cars payment was due, I rang Peugot and paid it off with a cashback credit card. Saving No 3.
Now I get caught out.
Getting quite good at this and feeling 'money savvy' I then rang Jaguar and offered them my cashback credit card to pay off loan. They do not accept credit cards!!!
A cheaper loan, cashback on credit cards anD interest on deposit account. Shame about the last part of the jigsaw.
Still, 3 out 4 isn't bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers Martin.

I bought the money diet from Ebay 6.99 inc. postage. Read it while on Holiday 1 - 7 Oct. Came back and got to work, so far I have £3000 in Cahoot saver, from BT & 0 percent credit card. Still spending and saving all at 0 percent. But MBNA CAUGHT ME WITH THE £35 CHARGE ON BT. Not to worry , I will have to work twice as hard now to get that back..( What a challenge). Love the book.... Love the website. Will I ever be an expert????

Doesn't that CC have a cheque facility? I get bombarded with them without asking.
