Hello lovers!
First post for me, hope you like it!
You know the company 82ASK, the one where you send them any question via text to 82275 and they'll reply back with an answer shortly afterwards (at the cost of a quid!)? Well, if you text the word FREE to the same number they'll reply back almost immediately telling you you now have one month's free* questions! Give it a go, before they get smart!
This was still working as of 17.51 on 9 February, 2007. Please add a post if it appears they've stopped the unadvertised offer!
*Not quite free but still better than paying over a pound; you still incur the standard text messaging rate that your network charges, normally around 5 to 12p.

Mmmmmmmm? First posting?
I shall not be risking a quid to find out!0 -
I couldn't find any reference to this on the internet so not sure where you found this offer but thanks Dutton, I tried it this morning and you get:
"Great, free answers for a month. We'll let you know when your month's up. Ask away!"
Then you get another text saying:
"We're only doing this with a small group, but it'll work for your friends too if they text 'Free' to 82275. Questions to us will cost standard SMS rate."0 -
Thanks for this.
Just worked for me too and got a 2nd sms for friends.
Might stop my son and his friends phoning me for this!!

Errrrrrrr We ALL have to have a "First Posting" at one stage.
Doesn't OP Dutton deserve a chance ???0 -
(I'm a relatively new member, so be nice.)
I don't mean to moan too much but I have a little pet hate for companies that say free when what they mean is 'oh, it will only cost you a little', and 'its only free if you don't ask lots of questions', and 'we don't mind giving some away cos we'll probably spam you with marketing once we have your number'.0 -
I guess what they mean in this instance is that it's free to you (in that they will make no money from you) as the only money you will pay will be your standard network text message fee which goes to the network and not to them.0
