Teenage Hamper

My son is turning 13 in June and I read a suggestion on here a while ago to do a hamper with grown up things and kids things to celebrate the milestone.
I'm going to put it all in a little silver flight case he wants, so far I've got an Austen Powers DVD (15 rated - how grown up is that?!) some funny postcards about safe sex and I thought about adding in a razor, shaving foam and some comics.
If anyone has any other suggestions of what I can put in it, I'd be grateful.
Thanks
Sharra
xx

My friends son was 13 last year and still loves kiddy type sweets and those really bouncy balls (about an inch in diameter).

I always do him a stocking at Christmas/Birthday and usually fill it with 'rubbish' - got him some fake dog mess from Superdrug (looked very realistic), silly string, expanding flannel, simpsons soap on a roap. He does get one decent present in their tho - Christmas he had slippers.

So far this year in my stash for him I have - simpsons pyjamas (bought off kids-pyjamas.co.uk - fantastic bargains on there - ex BHS for £2.99 a pair), a wallet, shower gel bought from Boots 75% off, some notebooks, pens, tube of cheddars, tin of foxes party rings, bubble gum balls from Wilko in their sale plus lots that I cant remember.

    Happy shopping.

How about 13 coins - 50p's, £1.00's or if you are feeling generous £2.00's.

I posted about the Teen Survival Kits I created put together for my daughter (and older sons) in the thread: Birthday Present for 13 year old - Teenagerand I also posted about the A.S.K (adolesence survival kit) which I created put together for my son last may in the old style diary thread which you can see here - changed it from a TSK to an ASK for his 12th because they seem to grow up a lot faster these days :o

Good luck on putting together your own unique TSK :D:D:D

I gave my son his teenage survival kit on Thursday, he was pleased with some of it but a little dubious of the rest (razor, shaving foam, condoms, drugs/sexual health info leaflets). We had to stress it wasn't for now, just things he would need at some point as a teenager.
He was really pleased with the 'Diary of a Teenage Health freak' and the 'Teenage Guy's survival guide' and the Beano annual from 1994. I also did him a cd of the 13 number 1s from each year he's been alive. :)
    Here's a pic..
