Making Money At Home

Options
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make extra cash at home? My partner and I work full time and have just moved into our first house, so we do have some debts that we are very eager to get rid of as fast as possible!!

I have investigated about making money...and the idea of working from home interests us, especially if we can work in fron of a laptop with a glass of wine in hand!

I found one website called sweetmoneypublications.com where you can register and make money from home (by doing such things as data input, putting letters into envelopes or networking etc.,). We have quite stressful jobs so the idea of doing data inputting at home with our feet up making some extra cash is quite an attractive thought!!

Does anyone know if the website mentioned above is a good one to use? Or does anyone have any suggestions of other websites that we may be able to use in order to make extra cash? Obviously we want legal websites and ones that actually work!

Any help at all or discussions on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't have any knowlege of the website you've mentioned - but whenever I've heard about websites like that, it has never been good. They usually ask for a fee, then give you info that you could have found for yourself etc. To be honest, there are thousands of other people in your situation who would like to make a bit of cash at home, so if it was as easy as you describe we would all be doing it!

Having said that, there are some options - have a look at this thread.

Personally I would not touch a site like that with a barge pole... it looks to be full of all the usual get rich quick stuff that can be found on many websites.

Do not pay for information on how to make money... claims of make £1000/week etc etc etc, or "I made £210,000" blah blah blah is complete and utter tosh - do not pay £35 for the priviledge of that site owner sending you a PDF ebook that tells you nothing really.

I had a brief look. The mystery shopping book is £9.95, but all the information in it can be found for free on this site, and dedicated mystery shopper sites such as the one I mod on.
Here I go again on my own....
  • Hi,

I contacted Trading Standards regarding Sweet Money, they told me that they had visited the premises and that earnings claimed have to be proved, which they were able to do. It seems that the £210,000 in 12 months filling envelopes, that they claim, has been acheived by them. They sell this information in a PDF format. It is basically showing you how they have done it Direct mailing, Faxing, Emailing opt in lists and Posting. Trading Standards said there isn't a problem with selling information providing they earning claims can be backed up.

Over the last few years I've taken a lot of digital photos, and quite a selection is of high quality. I'm considering putting some of these onto a stock photo site so can make a bit of money that way. But the sites that I've looked at all pay in dollars through PayPal, which isn't that great because of the exchange rate and the cost of converting it back to pounds. Does anyone know of any British run sites, or sites that will pay in pounds?
    January Grocery Challenge 2016 = £119.41/£250.00
    Weekly Savings Challenge 2016 = £364.31/£1378.00 26.44%
    Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge 2016 #9 = £13.88/£500 2.34%
    £2 Savers Club 2016 #26 = £140/£500 28%
    1% challenge 2016 = £100 Total saved £100/£10,000 1%

I have no specific recommendations at the moment, but in general, you should try to place your work with a photo agency which only accepts work deemed suitable. Sites where anyone can try to sell their photos are less appealing to editors looking for suitable pictures, since a high proportion of the work offered is just not of the best quality, or badly captioned etc. Agencies are often not looking for postcard-type photos though, because they tend to have an oversupply of those, and may be looking for something a bit more specialised.
You can find listings for photo agencies in the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook, and there's also one for specifically for photographers - I think it's called the Freelance Photographer's Market Handbook or something?

Bullsheet!! You own that site - your username is exactly the same on the 'Warrior' forum where the site is in your signature. How you can come on here and tell blatant lies like that just shows that you do indeed have no morals:

You also went on this site using the same user name and told complete lies:

It's people like you who take advantage of honest people who just want to earn a bit of extra money who should be reported to Trading Standards! :(
