Slow cooker inspiration needed

I have seen some lovely recipes that I want to try in my brand new and unused slow cooker. The only problem is that I am absolutely SKINT and cant afford any ingredients so have spent this month living of the freezer! However the freezer is now looking incredibly bare and I only have chicken thighs left in there. Have most of the usual things in the store cupboard. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could use for the slow cooker??
Appreciate all the help I can get!
Thanks

hi Kal,
Check the slow cooker recipe collection on the Old Style mega index. There are some chicken recipes that you might be able to do.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
I make a dish that would adapt to the slow cooker pretty well. The ingredients are chicken thighs, chopped onion, chopped carrot, long grain rice, tomato puree and tomato soup.
Brown the thighs and remove skin and place in bottom of slow cooker. Soften onion and carrot then add to crock. Add 1 tbsp of tomato puree, the soup and some veg/chicken stock if you feel you need it. Put in rice as well.(I don'tdo quantities, just bung in what you think you'll like) Then put on low for 6-8 hours. You could also add the usual stuff like garlic, tabasco or chilli or curry powder if you like that. Just chuck in what you have.0 -
make a chicken soup, just add some chicken thighs to the slow cooker plenty of hot water from the kettle, couple of stock cubes, veg or chicken, some red lentils if you have, assorted veg cut small, carrots, turnip, onion, leek, potato, pre heat the cooker on high then cook at low for 6-10 hrs, you can mash the soup or blend if you want, strip the meat off and you can use it for sandwiches, mix with sweet and sour or curry sauce, if you dont want much fat i usually take the skin off the thighs first0
