What's the deal?

The PSP game of the new Rocky film is due to be released this friday. In it, you get to play an in-better-shape-than-real-life virtual Sly Stallone, punching his way to the virtual top. And here's the (other) good part: If you pre-order a copy of it from the GAME website, you'll receive a card entitling you to 2 for 1 entry at Vue Cinemas nationwide for a year, 7 days a week.

There's one exception: You can't get discount tickets to films during the first two weeks of their release. Even so, since adult tickets at Vue can cost up to £9 each (depending on which cinema you go to), you needn't see toomany films to cover the cost and of course you're getting the game as well, which retails at £34.99.

How can I get one?

Simply click through to the the deal on the GAME website* and add the game to your basket. The discount card will be posted to you alongside it. Remember, you need to order no later than 25th January to receive the card, which means moving fast.

Anything else I should know?

The card's availability is while stocks last, so it's worth checking that you'll get one before parting with your hard earned cash. If you have a GAME discount card, you'll also receive double points for pre-ordering.

No reviews of the game were available at the time of going to press, but here are some screenshots and a video trailer of the game.

Thanks go to slowen for the top post.

I never bothered to read the T&C's of the card

Still not a bad deal even if you have to wait 2 weeks before you can see a new release

I have a 2 for 1 card (got free with stationery from work), it works great, yes you can't go when films are first out, but the kids make great use of it during the summer holidays, they tend to keep the films on for at least 3/4 weeks if its a top film at our vue so no problems using it.....
    2007 £1749
    2008 £291.99
    2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99
total so far for 09 £92.99
  • is it still going on?

Pretty much all cinema chains restrict free tickets, unless you have special re-admit tickets for something like a film breakdown.

In general most films are on release for more than 2 weeks, though depending on how big the film is, depends if it is in a big screen or not.
