In Next clearance store today in the shopping outlet in Bridgend and staff were bringing out boxes of homeware and gifts which were all reduced to £1
I bought a canvas painting originally £79.99 for £1
Christmas candle boxed gift sets from £19.99 to £1
Wall clocks £1
Vases £1
Picture frames £1
Also all Belts £1
All Bags £2
All ladies shoes except boots £10
Lots of England gifts 25p - and it still wasn't selling!!!
plus loads more.
It was a bit of a scrum but it happens everyday when they have a delivery. You have to fight your way to the front because those at the back get very little although the staff were trying to stop some customers being too greedy.
There were a couple of women who had their 5 kids standing in a line and they were passing the goods back and filled about 15 baskets full. They were very greedy and trying to nab everything. A couple of people had a go at them but they just laughed and muttered to one another. Even the shop assistant refused to give them anymore as she said they were taking everything.

i went to a next clearence store today, didnt realise we had one in our area, till i saw it today. :j
Was pretty busy in there, and was a bit like TK Maxx where everything is thrown all over the place, no order to the clothes and spend ages sorting through everything to find sumthing u like.
I did manage to get 2 pairs of kids shoes for £1 a pair though, loads of other bargains to be had but I just couldnt be bothered to fight my way through the crowds and sort through all the stuff.0 -
Is there any way I can find out where my local one is? Or whether I have a local or not :P We have a huge new Next, but it's RIDICULOUSLY overpriced, even though it's sales season!0

Pity they don't have a clearance website - that would make life a lot easier for us bargain hunters:rolleyes:

It's funny but we went to one yesterday, they had blokes shirts for £1 jackets for £6, loads of other stuff for £1. But it was the kind of stuff that you don't need and does not seem to go with anything.
My wife seemed to find plenty though, she got 2 work suits with extra trousers and skirts for £9.
Good for my bank account NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
i feel sorry for anyone who's coughed up £79.99 for a painting only to see them knocked out for a quid a short time later!0
