Unwanted smellies

I know lots of us got unwanted smellies again this year....can I put a plea in from the hospitals. When my ex OH was in intensive care earlier this year I noticed a sign up saying they wanted any unopened smellies for use with patients.....what better place to send them or maybe an old people's home....better than passing them on next year to the next person that doesn't really want them
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

a good idea
personally i'd much prefer to receive smellies to chocolate. i use them throughout the year - cant remember the last time i bought shower gel, bubble bath or moisturiser.
i normally keep a set or two by for emergency "eek-i've-forgotten-a-present" regifting during the year tooknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
and another thing...
a tip i learned from the old style board here..if you use liquid soap, fill your empty dispenser back up with unwanted christmas present bubble bath. does the same job, lasts just as long (if not longer), and hasnt cost you a penny :jknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Also - I find that with many bubble baths, they are better as handwash if you dilute them a bit, as they are a bit too 'gooey' - so they go even further.0

Can I second the old peoples home nomination
They really do like to get these in my experience- and if for some reason they cannot use them in the home they can be saved for the next tombola/raffle/jumble sale. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
Good idea, few I used unneeded (rather than calling unwanted) presents for
Charity shop (someone will only buy them if they like them)
Recycled presents (don't give to people who speak to who you got them off or present giver)
Presents to go to care home for those without visitors
School fayre tombola/raffle
Local raffle for local charities
eBay if expensiveOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Thanks for that, Viv - its a much better idea than recycling them (to folks who I secretly know don't really want them either!!). I never thought of passing them on to hospitals or old people's homes...but I will do that now!
